Going through one of many job search sites (I'll be nice to exclude which site) to find myself a decent salaried job, I come across this:
We regret that we cannot consider applicants without a Bachelor's degree and a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
Goodness, I guess those with a strong work ethic with enduring circumstances while in college with a 2.55 cumulative can't apply. That's why I can't stand g.p.a. requirements! Although companies get talent from the high end of the g.p.a. pool there are some in the middle range that can work just as hard. How superficial! Oh well, there's someone out there interested in my credentials past my g.p.a. - somewhere! I'm gonna continue my search and stop complaining now...

I'm addicted to posting videos now. This is the video (finally!) of one of my favorite songs, "So Sick."

It's Friday, Finally!
I found this site for video codes while on another site looking at these pics of Jay-Z and Aaliyah...anyway, the video below looked like fun to watch, plus I haven't seen it in ever, so I thought I would share it with all of you. All two of you :) I'm just glad it's Friday. The boss at my second job is working my nerves. She's out of town on business/vacation and how she's gonna have her 16 year old son to stop by to "check up on things"?! Hell, I shoulda been babysitting him! He stayed for two hours yesterday, doing homework! I was so pissed that I got a headache. Right after he left, so did I. Plus, I'm an independent contractor, which means I have no taxes withheld. I just hope I don't owe many taxes on my wages! Needless to say, I'm about to find work elsewhere, or just pick up more hours at my other job until they hire a replacement. Enough of the complaints though, just check out the video!

Today wasn't just one of those "stuck-in-a-routine" days. Got up went to work, stopped at the store for soup (I'm addicted to Progresso right now) and arrived at home to kick around and relax. Just wanted to post some links real quick while i'm wandering around the internet...
Check out the Amerie "1 thing" remix

75 Lessons that MUST be learned in relationships
Just got reading this list on another site I just stumbled across tonight. Since I didn't leave the house today at all, I've been spending quite a lot of time on the internet. This list struck an interest since I'm in a relationship, and it's getting serious, kinda. I'll just say it like this: my boyfriend is ready for to take the next step with me, and I'm having concerns with that (e.g. fear of the unknown, hangups about the past). I'm the type to take the safe road, and I can possibly miss a lot by doing that. Time to take a risk or two for 2k6.
But on the flip side, number 75 on the list is quite funny though. Go take a look, I don't wanna ruin the fun.

NYC Transit Union Strike
Man, if they had a transit stike like this where I'm staying, I would have called off work. I can be a lazy ass @ times.

Longest Snowy Day Ever!
The weathermen said that 3-6 inches were headed our way. The news reported this morning that the city was under control with the salting of the streets (liars, they were horrible!). Still it seemed like a apocalypse was going down. It took me 3 hours for an hour bus ride home! I could have been to columbus and back on a "normal" day, on the Greyhound of course. I went to Rochester Valentine's Day 2004 and it was business as usual up there with this amount of snow. Down here it would have been straight chaos, and today it was. I ended up leaving my second job early just to get home; still didn't work. By the time I got home, I was so agitated and had to calm down, which took a while considering what I went through. The bus was extremely stuffy and packed, I was getting claustrophobic (& mad at my boyfriend who I told I was going home instead of getting stuck wating for a ride his way) and hot from breathing in heat constantly. Then there were some people acting real dumb, talking all loud, getting angry at the bus driver (for what? we weren't going to move any faster!) and all kinds of nonsense. I was glad to get home where peace and quiet exists.
Good news: get to go to my first job an hour later than usual. Bad news: I would still have to get up around the same time (6am).
My way back buddy June was asking me if I would like to go to this kickoff party tomorrow for a new website Zipscene, that connects local ppl with deals on nightlife venues around the city. With this weather,I may have to take a raincheck. And I love going to the club when I can; it would be so much easier with a car, or a 4x4 in this weather.

I have more to tell...
well, sort of.
Just mainly about Thanksgiving this past weekend. It was quite a peacefully boring one this year for me. I wouldn't have it any other way, unless my family decides they all want to get together for an organized dinner. That's like a shot in the dark. Yea, I'm bitter to a degree, but rightfully so. I miss having my Dad around with Mom and I during the holidays. We would have done something together as our small little collective does during the holidays, even if it was a quick ride to catch a movie near the house, or go and check out some holiday lights around the city or something fun. After loosing Dad, I understand how others feel when their holidays are incomplete without that special loved one. My dear Mama, bless her heart, she understood how I was feeling that day, without my expressing of how I was feeling. I wasn't much on discussion, I was just going thought the (e)motions. She gave me a hug and said "I know..."

She gave me a hug and said "I know..." The day after turkey day I went to work at the library, instead of joining in with the Black Friday shopping. I wanted to stop at New York and Company to catch their sale, but the one near my job wasn't open to my suprise. I guess everyone was out in the 'burbs shopping. I did find this mini radio at Radio Shack to listen to at work, so it wasn't a full loss. But why did the day after Thanksgiving end up with that nickname? Yeah I heard that it puts retail black in the black from being in the red the rest of the year, but name itself sound like a new age plague or something! After hearing about people in other cities getting trampled, I'm glad I wasn't out in that crowd. People are crazy when it comes to catching those limited time specials though.
I'm glad that I don't have too many people to get gifts for, just mama and a few other family members, my boyfriend, and some friends. Maybe next payday I can start purchasing gifts, or gift cards. I'm lazy.
